Experience:
I started out as a disability support worker, supporting people one-on-one with their daily routines, goals, and independence. It taught me how powerful, consistent, and person-centred care can be in someone’s life. From there, I moved into support coordination, where I worked alongside clients to navigate the NDIS, connect with the right services, and make their plans work for them, not just on paper.
Now, in Positive Behaviour Support, I focus on understanding the “why” behind behaviours and helping clients and their support networks build strategies that lead to real, lasting change. Along the way, I’ve backed up my experience with a Diploma in Community Services, a Graduate Certificate in Human Services, and specialist training in Applied Positive Psychology, Suicide Prevention (ASIST), and Mental Health First Aid. I’m also currently studying a Bachelor of Arts/Health Sciences at La Trobe.
No matter the role, my goal has always been the same: to walk alongside people, build trust, and support them in creating a life that feels good, on their own terms.
Specialisation:
I’m an entry-level Behaviour Support Practitioner with a background in disability support and NDIS coordination. I take a person-centred, trauma-informed approach to support people with disability and complex needs. I’m building my practice with a strong foundation in empathy, advocacy, and practical strategies that make a real difference.
Achievements & Success Stories:
Built strong, authentic connections with clients and families, especially those with complex or high support needs.
Helped people navigate tricky systems and get supports that make a difference in their daily lives.
Studied while working.
Learning to write and contribute to behaviour support plans that are person-led, respectful, and practical.
Focused on strengths-based, trauma-informed approaches, and led by what actually works for the person.
Success Story:
Sourced a new home environment for a client to feel safe. This has had the impact of significant reduction of challenging behaviours and improved his quality of life.
Capacity building with clients who are in the juvenile justice system to reduce reoffending and supporting them to turn their lives around.
One of the most meaningful moments in my career was supporting a client to reconnect with their birth mother after 28 years of separation. Working closely with the care team, we took a trauma-informed and person-centred approach to ensure the process was safe, respectful, and aligned with the client’s wishes. It was a sensitive journey that required trust, persistence, and compassion
